School holds series of science lectures

A series of science lectures, open to the public, will be held at the Royal Masonic School.

The first features worldwide textiles consultant Mike Blamey has given guest lectures in Korea, Japan, the USA, and Germany.

He will speak about advances in the materials industry, from the development of Kevlar to modern ballistics and even rugby balls.

The talk will be held at 7.30pm, on Thursday, March 8, in The Royal Masonic School’s New Mark Hall.

The second talk in the series is by Catherine Rix from Cranfield University, who will speak about Biology in Outer Space.

The lecture takes place March 22, in the New Mark Hall, starting at 7.30pm.
