Patients and visitors to Watford General Hospital will have the chance to nominate a nurse or midwife they feel has made a special contribution to their care.
West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust is hosting its annual Celebration of Success night this summer, which recognises staff for their commitment to providing high standards of care.
Natalie Forrest, director of nursing for the trust, said: "The aim of the awards is to highlight the contribution that nurses and midwives make to providing high quality, safe and effective patient care and the developments and innovations they are leading to improve it.
"The awards are also an opportunity for the public to show how much they value the care they receive."
