Put up the bunting, heat up the barbecue and set out the tables - it’s time for a street party in Radlett, thanks to a grant from Hertsmere Borough Council.
Radlett Festival Committee has received £1,000 to go towards a street party to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in June.
The cash has been allocated from the council’s Ward Improvement Initiative Scheme (WIIS) money.
Viv Charrett, festival chairman, said: “This money is greatly appreciated and will help Radlett Festival to organise a street party for the local community to join in the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
“It is a great opportunity for the local community to get together, join in the fun and have a fantastic family day.”
Groups can bid for money from the Ward Improvement Initiative Scheme (WIIS) to help improve their area.
