Children from Field Junior, Nascot Wood and St Anthony’s primary schools will visit Watford FC's Vicarage Road Stadium later today to "Show Racism the Red Card".

In attendance will be current Watford players Nyron Nosworthy and John Eustace, Chairman Graham Taylor and ex-professional footballers Paul Mortimer and Osei Sankofa.

During the event they will have the opportunity to take part in an afternoon of activities, where they will watch the campaign's latest DVD featuring top footballers and pose questions on racism to some of the Watford players.

The event will be opened by the chairman of Watford Council, Lindsey Scudder Sarah Soyei, manager at Show Racism the Red Card said: "Watford FC have been very supportive of the Show Racism the Red Card campaign in recent years and we are really pleased to be holding this event to educate young people and help them to understand that there is no place for racism in today’s society.

"Thanks to a partnership with the BME Achievement team at Hertfordshire County Council We have been able to visit schools and work with over 4,000 young people in Hertfordshire over the last two years. The workshops have been hugely popular and Thursday’s event will be a celebration of the good work which has been undertaken over this period."

All of the young people will leave with a goody bag of Show Racism the Red Card’s resources including this season’s Watford FC poster.
