A crime-fighting charity based in Watford has been recognised at an annual awards ceremony for its work with residents.
West Herts Against Crime was presented with a High Sheriff Award at the Hertfordshire Community Foundation event held on Thursday, March 15.
The award was presented at County Hall in Hertford by the High Sheriff of Hertfordshire Lord Charles Cecil in front of more than 180 guests.
Jackie Chambers, general manager of the charity, said: "To be recognised by the High Sheriff is an honour and we are very proud to be among the winners at such an important evening.
"The award marks an exciting time for the charity as we prepare to move forward providing value-added crime prevention services across West Herts."
