Businesses in Kings Langley are joining forces to help a village resident raise £100,000 for charity.
Matthew Loddy, 46, of Watford Road, is nearing the end of a gruelling challenge to run 100 marathons in 100 days between the Algarve, Portugal and London.
Back home, a Grand National sweepstake is being held in his honour by Dallings & Co, who have put up a bottle of our Ayala champagne as a prize for the winner.
Tickets cost £2 minimum although larger donations are welcome and all proceeds will go to Mr Loddy’s Framework Foundation charity.
Jeff Folkins, of Dallings and Co on High Street, said: "We have had a collection pot out for a while now and we definitely want to make at least a couple of hundred pounds for him."
