Police hunt after man stabbed in flats in Croxley View, Watford

Armed police with dogs scoured a West Watford estate after a man was stabbed in a block of flats last night.

Officers were called to reports of an assault in Chauncey House, in Croxley View, at around 8.35pm.

A man was found with stab wounds and treated by paramedics before being taken to Watford General Hospital.

Residents reported armed police searching the area around the flats following the incident.

Croxley View resident, Wayne Godfrey, was alerted after emergency service vehicles rushed past his house.

He said: “My wife saw the ambulance and police response car go past. The police blocked off the corner of Croxley View and there was a lot of police cars there.

“A neighbour said he saw police carrying guns and we could hear dog squads as well.”
