Greensleeves Morris Men to perform at Windmill pub In Chipperfield

The jingle of bells and the clash of sticks will sound out across Chipperfield this weekend as morris dancers return to the village this afternoon.

The Greensleeves Morris Men of Wimbledon group will make their annual visit to the village and surrounding area as part of their annual tour.

Greensleeves will perform at 5pm at the Windmill pub.

On Sunday morning, they will lead a procession to the open air church service on the common before performing individual and mass dances at the end.

David Hayes, a member of Greensleeves, said the tradition of visiting the area goes back years.

Greensleeves have hosted a weekend of dance in the village since 1961.
