Mayor opens beer festival
Mayor of Hertsmere Councillor Pat Strack braved the rain to open The Bushey and Oxhey Round Table Charity Beer Festival at The Three Crowns in Bushey Heath last Friday.
Despite the weather the festival had sold out of six of the ales on offer by Saturday night and by close of play on Sunday, visitors had enjoyed more than 1,000 pints.
Chairman of Bushey and Oxhey Round Table, Simon Caplan, said: "It was a great weekend and I`m delighted that we`ve raised just over £1,000 all of which will be donated to local and national causes."
