MP James Clappison joined police as they took to the streets of Bushey as part of the safer streets initiative.
The project is run in conjunction with the police, Hertsmere Borough Council and Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service.
PCSOs and officers from the partner organisations went door-to-door in four roads in Bushey on Monday and Tuesday evening, joined on the Tuesday by the Conservative MP.
Mr Clappison said: "We ventured into the Grove area of Bushey at about 7.30pm and members of the public were very pleased to see officers, who were giving practical advice on crime prevention."
