A Kings Langley mother who won the support of MPs and politicians in a bid to raise awareness about her daughter’s rare heart condition is to appear on BBC daytime program The One Show.

Alexandra Smith, 33, took her case to parliament after doctors repeatedly failed to spot her daughter Georgina, four, was suffering with Ebsteins Anomaly.

On Tuesday (July 17), presenter Angleica Bell and a TV crew interviewed Alex at her home on Ridgeway Close and filmed at the Royal Free Hospital in London.

No definite date has been set for the piece to be broadcast and it may be delayed until after the Olympics.
