Mrs Ann Buist, 52, was invited to the Herts Air Ambulance Airbase at North Weald to meet the air crew and see the helicopter up close before being presented with her cheque for winning the super-draw.
A woman from Watford who was married in Sorrento in Italy on July 16 received the perfect wedding present this week when she won the £2,429.75 in the Superdraw in the Flight for Life Lottery Team run by Herts Air Ambulance.
Mrs Ann Buist, 52, was invited to the Herts Air Ambulance Airbase at North Weald to meet the air crew and see the helicopter up close before being presented with her cheque.
Following the presentation, Mrs Buist donated £50 of her winnings back to the charity.
She said: "I think the Herts Air Ambulance is a very worthy charitable cause offering a vital life-saving service for the Hertfordshire community.
"I hope I never have to use this service - however, working at Mount Vernon Hospital and having seen the air ambulance in operation after a lorry accident, I have seen how the crew work so efficiently."
