Police surgeries held in Bushey
2:00pm Sunday 5th August 2012 in News By Amie Mulderrig, Features Writer
Local residents, businesses and community leaders can benefit from the police base in Bushey High Street as a place to meet officers face-to-face and discuss issues they may have.
The Bushey Police Office has been in operation for almost a year, providing a local base to the Safer Neighbourhood Teams which cover the village and surrounding areas.
Located at Bushey Golf and Country Club, the office is used for regular Safer Neighbourhood surgeries where local people can come in, without needing to make an appointment and see a Police Community Support Officer (PCSO).
The PCSO can give advice and information and discuss local or personal issues in confidence.
PCSO Esther Ainsley said: "We know that for some issues, like anti-social behaviour involving neighbours, people may not want us to visit them at home so we can also use the office in the town centre for face to face meetings. You simply need to call us to make an appointment."
If you know the name of the officer you want to speak to, you can use the Airwave number 01707 354192 to contact them, otherwise use the police non-emergency number 101.
If an officer is not available you can leave a message and they will get back to you as soon as they can.
You can also email for an appointment using the Safer Neighbourhood webpages: http://snt.herts.police.uk/aCMS/district.php?dID=4 , click on the area where you live for your local team’s page.
Upcoming drop-in surgeries at the police office are:
Mondays: August 6, August 13 and August

from 12 noon to 1pm
Wednesdays: August 8, August 15, August 22 and August

Other neighbourhood surgeries in the area are on:
Friday, August 3, at 2.30pm to 3.30pm at Bushey Library, Sparrows Hearne, with PCSO Esther Ainsley and the local ward councillor
Saturday, August 4 at 12 noon to 1pm at King George Park with PCSO Esther Ainsley

This is apparently how they brought down the Mafia in Italy and the gangsters of Chicago.
After all, it isn't like we had armed robberies in broad daylight on Bushey High Street to worry about.
DOH!
