A post box on Watford High Street will be painted gold later this morning in recognition of Anthony Joshua’s Olympic triumph.
Watford-born Joshua picked up one of the final gold medals of London 2012 on Sunday in the men’s super heavyweight boxing and a post box near Charter Place on Watford High Street will be painted in recognition of his success.
The 22-year-old Finchley ABC fighter, who only took up the sport four years ago, defeated Beijing gold medallist Roberto Cammarelle.
Stamps bearing an image of Joshua’s triumph will also be available at 500 post offices from lunchtime today.
