People can have their antiques and collectables valued when experts from Warwick and Warwick auctioneers visiting Watford later this month.

The company have experts in coins and banknotes, stamps, medals and militaria, postcards and cigarette cards, die cast toys and models and model railways.

They will be conducting a valuation day at the Watford Football Club, Vicarage Road , Watford, from 10am until 2pm on Tuesday, August 28.

Aand Warwick valuer said: “Many people do not realise that they have possessions of value, especially postcard collections, where the black and white real photographic views, can fetch from £5 to £50 each, especially if there is a close up an early omnibus or a traction engine.

“Coin collections are also fetching high prices at present, especially those made of gold, the value of which has rocketed in recent months.”

The auctioneers say that home visits may be possible if the collection is particularly large and they can be arranged by calling 01926 499031.
