Crime down in Dacorum borough

Crime in Dacorum has fallen by 14 per cent between April and July this year, compared with the same period last year.


Figures from Dacorum Borough Council show there are 384 fewer victims of crime in the borough than in the corresponding period last year.


Among the offences that have fallen, anti-social behaviour is down by a quarter with 615 fewer incidents.


Vehicle crime has been reduced by 27 per cent, with 101 fewer incidents, while criminal damage has fallen by 16 per cent, with 81 fewer incidents. Violent crime is down by 6 per cent, with 27 fewer incidents, and burglary is down by 4 per cent, with 6 fewer incidents this year.
