1:20pm Tuesday 21st August 2012 in News By Amie Mulderrig, Features Writer
The former residence of Bushey sculptor Charles Egerton Browne is to open to the general public, after being converted into a series of houses.
Gated development Egerton Park, named after Mr Egerton Browne, who died in 1996, will be launched on September 15 and is based in Merry Hill Road, Bushey.
Audrey Adams, Bushey Museum representative, said: "Egerton Park honours the memory of the distinguished sculptor who lived for many years at Haydon Dell, on the site of the present development.
"Browne was especially noted for his animal sculptures in bronze and was an Associate Member of the Royal Society of British Sculptors.
"Examples of his work can be seen locally in St James' Church and at Bushey Museum."
