Wet weather forces cancellation of Chorleywood Village Day

Chorleywood Village Day has been cancelled by heavy rainfall.
The event was due to take place on Saturday September 8, from 12pm to 4pm.
Yvonne Merritt, clerk to the council, said: "Councillors and rangers have conducted a site survey which has confirmed our fears, the ground is still waterlogged.
"Even if the weather does improve there will not be enough time for the ground to sufficiently drain to allow the safe passage of vehicles on the common."
Refunds will be given but may take up to 30 days.
