Church concert brings free music to the masses
3:28pm Tuesday 4th September 2012 in News By Amie Mulderrig, Features Writer
A free music concert is set to be held in Watford later this month.
Derek Mander, founder of The Jazz Workshop in Croxley Green, is hoping to bring music to the masses with the event on September 18.
International clarinet player Ronnie Findon, who has performed in front of the Royal Family, will showcase songs from the American songbook.
Mr Mander said: "It will be an incredibly exciting fusion of fantastic music. The church has better acoustics and equipment than Abbey Road.
"As it’s free, you’d be mad to miss it. Come along and have a boogie."
The gig will be held at St Mary’s Church, Church Street, Watford, from 1pm until 2pm.
Free tea and biscuits will be on offer at the event.
