Alexis Carnall of South Oxhey aims to help cancer sufferer

A mother from South Oxhey is going to shave her hair off in The Dick Whittington pub tomorrow ( Friday), in order to raise money for a young man suffering from a rare nerve cancer.

Alexis Carnall is raising money to help Jamie Inglis, who is suffering from relapsed neuroblastoma.

He is being treated in Germany, but still needs more money to finish the programme, which is nine months long.

Ms Carnall said: "This started off as small thing I was going to do at home, but to make it worthwhile to Jamie I decided to do it publicly.

"I am quite shy person so it's taking a lot of guts to do this, but it's nothing compared to the fight that Jamie has in him and I want to help him finish his treatment."

The event takes place at The Dick Whittington pub in Prestwick Road from 5pm.
