Graffiti mural earns Watford school a £100 'thank you' bonus

Pupils and staff at a school in Watford are to receive a £100 cheque to thank them for transforming a disused garage site into a vibrant graffiti mural.

Francis Combe Academy, in Horseshoe Lane, will be presented with the cheque from Leavesden Community Group, who asked them to decorate the wall while it’s still standing in Haines Way.

The garages are owned by Watford Community Housing Trust, who donated the walls for the project to take place, before the garage site is demolished at the end of the year.

Francis Combe Academy will receive the cheque tomorrow (Friday) from Leavesden Community Group and the Trust.
