Job Club for under 25s set up to help Watford's unemployed youngsters
A group of young people at Watford-based youth counselling charity, Signpost, have set up a Job Club for young people aged 18-25.
They have won funding from Community First Central Watford and the European Social Fund to run coaching sessions on confidence, selling yourself and interview skills and a drop in on CV development, job search skills and improving job applications.
William Allen, manager at Signpost, said: "The Job Club project also offers counselling and coaching and is aimed to specifically help the growing number of unemployed young people suffering from depression, stress and anxieties.
"Mums often lose confidence after a few years at home looking after a baby, so we have some funding for childcare meaning young parents can join too."
The drop in will be on Mondays from 12.30 to 3pm at Watford Advice Centre in St Mary’s Churchyard, off the High Street.
On the last Monday of the month, the drop in will be at Centrepoint Community Centre, Raphael Drive, Radlett Road.
