Bat walk next Friday at Leavesden Country Park

A bat walk around Leavesden Country Park on Wednesday night proved a success with 30 people joining the tour.
The group, led by bat expert Roger Havard, used bat detectors to discover that large numbers of common pipistrelle call the park home.
Damien Weller, park ranger, said: "The walk went really well. We had a good turnout of about 30 people and found quite a few common pipistrelle bats."
The next bat walk will leave from the aquadrome car park in Rickmansworth on Friday, September 28, at 6pm.
