Designs for new play area in Chorleywood House estate available at Chorleywood Library

Designs for a new playground for children in Chorleywood are available to view in the library.

Although there is already a playground in Heronsgate Road, parents voiced concerns to the Chorleywood Residents' Association that it is too far away and not well know.

Richard Thompson, from the association, said: "Chorleywood is a vast area and with the birth rate rising there needs to be more activities for children.

"Most parents these days have more than one child and all the paraphernalia that goes with children.

"Pouring them all in to the car and driving to the Aquadrome in Rickmansworth is the only option to most residents in Chorleywood now."

Designs for a new play area in the Chorleywood House estate can be viewed at Chorleywood Library from until September 28, along with a survey.

Mr Thompson added: "The Friends of the Chorleywood House estate are keen for the grounds to be utilized more and we want to make this happen."
