Charity hair shave raises hundreds of pounds
A woman from South Oxhey who shaved off all her hair for charity has raised hundreds of pounds.
Alexis Carnall is raising money to help Jamie Inglis, who is suffering from relapsed neuroblastoma.
He is being treated in Germany, but still needs more money to finish the programme, which is nine months long.
Ms Carnall shaved off her hair in the the Dick Whittington pub in Prestwick Road on September 7.
She said: "This started off as small thing I was going to do at home, but to make it worthwhile to Jamie I decided to do it publicly.
"It went really well and I managed to raise another £190 from the pub. So far I have managed to raise about £630 for Jamie which is better than I thought I might get.
"I sent Jamie and his family a message and they were delighted with the achievement. Jamie has been up and down since his stem cell transplant but hopefully he'll get better day by day.
"Even if a few more people are aware of this terrible childhood cancer I am happy and maybe in time treatment for these kids will be available here."
