Watford’s MP dropped into a skills session for unemployed youngsters to give them some tips on writing CVs and job interviews.
Richard Harrington joined the workshop in Radlett on Monday September 17, which is part of a scheme involving food and grocery companies that is currently helping around 50 youngsters from Watford and Luton.
The project, Feeding Britain’s Future, is currently run by a company IGD in conjuction with Jobcentre Plus at offices in Grange Lane, Letchmore Heath and aims to give young people access to farms, factories and stores.
Joanne Denney-Finch OBE, chief executive of IGD, said: “The food and grocery industry is the UK’s biggest employer and we’re committed to playing our part in tackling youth unemployment.
“We consulted young people to find out what skills they feel they lack when applying for jobs.”
