Children see artwork come to life
School children from Watford saw artwork they had designed come to life in a subway mural this week.
Pupils from Albanwood, Berrygrove and Cherry Tree schools visited the Meriden Underpass on Thursday after workmen finished transferring their designs to the walls.
The children were asked to create artwork to spruce up the tunnel by the Watford Community Housing Trust , which is renovating it to mark its fifth birthday.
Tina Barnard, chief executive of Watford Community Housing Trust, said: "The subway was in urgent need of a spruce up and it looks really fantastic now - people have told us how much brighter it looks with the new artwork.
"We have to say a huge thank you to the children of Albanwood, Berrygrove and Cherry Tree for the difference they have made to the area."
