Rounton housing plan dismissed by inspector
A controversial plan to build 45 new homes on ancient woodland in Watford has been thrown out by a planning inspector.
Gyllian Grindey dismissed the appeal by developers today to build on the Rounton site in the Nascot area of Watford.
Her decision comes after a hearing into the plans, which have been hotly opposed by residents in the area, opened last month .
The key argument was over whether the site qualified in semi-natural ancient woodland.
