The King’s Christian Bookshop raises £270 for Macmillan Cancer Support

Visitors had their mugs at the ready in Kings Langley at the weekend to mark the world’s biggest coffee morning.

The King’s Christian Bookshop, at Christ Church Baptist, served coffee and cake to all at their Macmillan coffee morning on Saturday (September 29).

The event raised £270 towards Macmillan Cancer Support, a cause which helps to improve the lives of people affected by cancer.

Anne Armstrong, a volunteer at the coffee morning, said: "The coffee morning went very well and we were busy throughout the morning.

"People were very generous and I was pleased with how much we raised, considering it was in the space of just two hours."
