Watford Community Housing Trust became "Walford" Community Housing Trust, when the BBC turned up to film a new episode of EastEnders.

St Johns Road was closed off yesterday while television stunt men staged a car chase, and hardman character Derek Branning had an angry confrontation with another actor.

The trust’s sign was replaced with one which read "Walford" instead and Christmas decorations were put up in the reception area.

Jamie Foreman, who plays Derek Branning, posed for a photograph with the trust’s chief executive, Tina Barnard.

Joe Dumont, communications and marketing manager, who took the picture, said: "My camera wouldn’t work. I know what his character’s like and all I could think was ‘don’t make him angry, don’t make him angry’."
