Police were called to an attempted burglary this afternoon in Abbots Langley.
A resident alerted police at around 1.45pm after he heard a window smash at a neighbour’s house in Heather Close.
It is thought a teenager had climbed over the garden fence, which backs on to the park, and threw a stone at a window which caused it to break. The residents of the house were not in at the time.
The teenager is described as male, wearing a hoodie, slim and no taller than 5 ft 11.
Police are appealing to anyone with information to call the non-emergency number on 101 and quote crime reference number C2/12 /229.
