Crowds of people gathered at St Paul’s Church in Bushey on Sunday, to celebrate the Harvest Festival.

Visitors brought along a selection of Harvest gifts including tinned goods to the service, which were given to the Watford New Hope Trust, while donations were bequeathed to the Bishop of St Albans' Harvest Appeal.

Revered Caroline Burnett said: "We had five to six bags of goodies to give to the Watford New Hope Trust which was great, but we always find our congregation to be very generous.

"We've been supporting the trust for about 25 years, prior to this we gave Harvest donations to a London shelter. But we found that we had homeless and needy people on our own doorstep, so decided to help out a bit closer to home.

"It's a great cause to support and one we will continue as Christians to assist."
