Hindu Art, Archaeology and Mythology to feature in Radlett Art Society talk

A discussion on Hindu Art, Archaeology and Mythology is to be given in Radlett.

Radlett Art Society will host an illustrated lecture given by Dr Michael O’Brien on the subject.

The talk will centre on the principal deities of the Hindu pantheon; their manifestations and associated legends as depicted in Indian Temple Sculpture, the evolution of the Hindu temple from early caves and monoliths to richly decorated ones of the 16C, and the significance of the profusion of female figures.

The event will be held on Thursday, October 18 from 7.30pm at the Radlett Centre.

Admission is free to members, but will cost non-members: £7.
