Cash boost for Watford Hospital Radio

Patients at Watford General Hospital will soon be entertained by the latest chart tunes and golden oldies following a donation from Hertfordshire County Council.

Watford Hospital Radio has been given £1,500 from the council’s locality budget, money which will allow the volunteers who run the station to continue to provide an uplifting and valuable service to patients during their time at the hospital.

Locality budgets were launched in July 2009, with funding to be used for worthy social, economic or environmental causes in Hertfordshire.
