A children’s day care centre has been handed top marks in a recent inspection by schools’ watchdog Ofsted.
Oxhey Early Years Centre on Eastbury Road scored top marks across the board with all four main categories being marked as ‘outstanding’.
The inspectors singled out the centre’s flexible teaching style for praise, saying: ‘Children's individual needs are extremely well met and the staff's engagement with children is exceptional.
"Individual learning styles are particularly well valued, with staff using every opportunity to ensure skills for the future, such as mark making and counting, are skilfully incorporated into superhero and imaginative play.
The centre was also judged to be outstanding at the last inspection in 2009.
