Abbey Flyer trains terminating at Garston after broken track discovered

Train services between St Albans Abbey station and Watford Junction have been altered until further notice due to a broken track.

The service will not call at North Watford or Watford Junction, and will instead begin and terminate at Garston. Replacement road transport will be available.

I thought the abbey line was going to be converted into a tramlines by the end of this year.
What ever happened to that ?.

I am sure I read that the Abbey Line may form part of a link to the proposed new rail depot in Radlett. I would guess they are waiting to see what happens with that first.

How frustrating for commuters, many people rely on it to get to watford junction, to then get the watford to euston train. Very annoying, do hope it is fixed soon!
