Business Buzz boost for Watford as networking event is launched
1:40pm Thursday 11th October 2012 in News By Frazer Ansell
A series of networking events will be launching in Watford, following the success of similar schemes in Harpenden, Hemel Hempstead and St Albans.
Hosted by Francesca Bonn, commercial manager of West Herts College, Business Buzz Watford will launch on Tuesday October 16, at Watford Palace Theatre.
The event will be officially opened by Mayor Dorothy Thornhill and will be an opportunity to find out more about Business Buzz, while networking with local businesses.
Business Buzz events will happen regularly in Watford, taking place on the third Tuesday of every month between 10am and noon. It costs £5 to attend.
Ms Bonn said: "Business Buzz is a fresh new approach in business networking and the drop-in session format is a great way to catch up with the local business community.
"Unlike many other networking events, there is no membership, no booking - you just turn up whenever is convenient and pay your £5 at the door."
Buzz sponsor Stuart Falconer, from HR consultancy Crispin Rhodes, said: "I am delighted to be sponsoring the Business Buzz event at the Palace Theatre in Watford.
"There are many different types of networking events but I was so impressed by the other Business Buzz events that when I became aware it was coming to Watford, I just knew I had to align myself to it.
"I had made such great business contacts at the other events that as soon as a sponsor slot became available, I just knew I had to grab that opportunity."
Lynne Misner, from Watford Palace Theatre, added: "This is a local theatre with a national reputation and we are delighted to be hosting Business Buzz. The theatre extends a warm welcome to local businesses meeting in our creative and inspiring surroundings."
