Scarlett exits ITV2 show Top Dog Model

A Watford Rottweiler has been robbed of her furry-tale ending after she came in within a whisker of winning a TV modelling dog contest.

Scarlett and her owner Anthony Skordis, were told to go walkies in the final hurdle of the ITV2 show Top Dog Model last night (Wednesday) after being booted out in a surprise elimination.

Vying to get her paws on a lucrative modelling contract, where she pouted and posed in a British seaside photo shoot, her hopes were dashed last minute.

The final three pooches took to Broadstairs beach in Kent, to sell the best of the British seaside and three-year-old Scarlett impressed judges with a sterling swing on a beach swing.

Owner Anthony, who lives in Oxford Street, was also put under the spotlight as he posed alongside his pooch in striped deckchairs.

Unfortunately this just wasn’t enough and Scarlett was forced to leave with her tail between her legs in a shock elimination.

Stacey Solomon, judge and presenter, said: "Scarlett, we worry will she come out of her zone and give us that little bit extra "Although she is professional and an absolutely high fashion gorgeous dog."

Mr Skordis said he was ‘absolutely gutted’ after coming close but yet so far. He said: "We support each other. For the last few days I felt really confident and nice thinking we were going to stand there in front of top three and one would be the winner.

"I actually did not think there would be an elimination.

"This is the worst way to go and I am absolutely gutted."
