The future of Area nightclub will be decided by Watford Borough Council this morning.

The licensing sub-committee will meet to discuss a scathing report produced by the police, detailing violence and alleged management failings in the club.

Hertfordshire Constabulary said it wants the club’s licence removed, or at least have stringent conditions imposed.
