Hertsmere Borough Council to host community safety partnership meeting
4:41pm Monday 15th October 2012 in News By Amie Mulderrig, Features Writer
Residents across Hertsmere are invited to a borough-wide event focused on community safety.
Hertsmere Borough Council is to host a community safety partnership meeting on Monday, October 22.
The meet will include representatives from the council, Hertfordshire Constabulary, and Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service as well as other local organisations which work together to reduce crime, create safer neighbourhoods and increase feelings of safety.
Councillor Charles Goldstein, Conservative representative, said: "I’d like to encourage residents from across the borough to attend this meeting and learn more about our community safety work.
"You’ll get to hear the latest statistics from local police and find out what our current community safety projects and initiatives are."
Among the issues up for debate at this month's meeting will be restorative justice in the community. There will be a chance to raise any concerns about crime or anti-social behaviour and ask questions about local community safety issues. Attendees will also get the opportunity to meet representatives from the council and local police team.
The meeting will be held at the council’s civic offices in Borehamwood.
