Premier, in Lower Road, Chorleywood closes after losing off-licence appeal

A Chorleywood convenience store that had its licence suspended for two months earlier this year has temporarily closed after losing its appeal.
Premier, in Lower Road, received the ban after it was caught selling cider to a 16-year-old boy during a ‘test purchase’ organised by police and trading standards.
On Monday, April 2 the Three Rivers District Council licensing sub-committee banned the store from serving alcohol for two months and designated premises supervisor Imran Sarwar decided to appeal.
After that appeal was thrown out by magistrates Mr Sarwar closed the shop last Monday (October 8) for the full two months.
