A pair of youngsters from Three Rivers are to demonstrate their first aid skills on a national stage after reaching the final of a St John Ambulance competition.
The Rickmansworth and Chorleywood Badgers team - Lily Skourides, nine, from Chorleywood, and James Burton, nine, from Rickmansworth - will represent the east region at the St John Ambulance First Aid Challenge in Swindon this weekend.
They secured their place after winning the regional heats of the competition held in June in Norwich.
Brian Wingate, county executive officer for St John Ambulance, Hertfordshire, said: "We are extremely proud of our teams representing the East region at the national finals.
"It shows how hard they have worked to learn and master first aid skills, which can be the difference between a life lost and a life saved. We wish them the best of the luck."
