Holyrood Catholic and Social Club appeals for former members to help celebrate 40th year

A West Watford social club is looking for former members to come and join in its 40th birthday celebrations this weekend.

The Holyrood Catholic and Social Club will be marking the occasion on Saturday with mass at the centre, in Tolpits Lane, followed live music and an Irish dancing display.

The club was set up in 1970s by Holy Rood RC Church, in Exchange Road, as a venue where people could attend mass on the other side of the town.

However today it hosts a number of community and leisure activities including Bingo, Darts as well as Irish and line dancing.

The anniversary celebrations start at 6pm are open to current and past members of the club. For more information email holyroodclub@hotmail.com
