Croxley Green Baptist Church to celebrate 70th anniversary

A Croxley Green Church is celebrating its 70th anniversary this Sunday (October 21).

Croxley Green Baptist Church started meeting in October 1942 in wooden huts before moving to its current home in Baldwins Lane in the 1950s which has since undergone expansion and refurbishment.

Celebration services will be held on Sunday at 9.15am and 11.15am with a welcome brunch held in between at 10.15am.

Dave Gregory, senior minister of the church said "It’s amazing to me that in the difficult and uncertain days of World War Two, people put their energy into starting a church - a sign of the hope they had in the future for themselves and the community of Croxley Green."
