Pupils show off their baking skills
Watford was whipped into a baking frenzy to celebrate National Baking Week and raise money for the Light the Lighthouse campaign.
School children from Central Primary and Chater Junior were invited to John Lewis in Watford to try their hand at cookie and cake decorating classes.
John Lewis staff were also keen to show off their baking skills and ran a cake sale to raise money for their chosen charity, Light the Lighthouse.
Watford General Hospital children’s ward Starfish has an area called Lighthouse, which is catered to caring for children who require high-dependency care.
Zoey Pullar, ward Sister from Starfish Ward said: "I was overwhelmed by the level of enthusiasm from John Lewis Watford.
"The events were great fun and will raise funds for our charity, in addition to producing some delicious treats.
"The funds will go towards our Light up the Lighthouse campaign to purchase equipment in our high dependency area to enhance the care already given."
