Watford Borough Council offers discount on compost bins

Watford Borough Council is offering reduced price compost bins to encourage residents to compost at home.
This is in partnership with get getcomposting.com, to offer a more environmentally-friendly approach to composting green garden waste.
The compost bins will be available from £16 (RRP £39) plus £5.49 delivery.
Residents are advised to compost a 50/50 mix of ‘greens’ including vegetable peelings, old flowers, grass cuttings, spent bedding plant and ‘browns’ including garden prunings, coffee grounds, tissues and paper napkins, cardboard, vacuum cleaner dust.
A variety of sizes and composting accessories are also available at special offer prices exclusive to residents.
