Daniel Finkelstein OBE to come to Radlett

A celebrity dinner with guest speaker Daniel Finkelstein OBE is to be held in Radlett.

The British journalist and former politician will talk on “The Rules of Politics” at a dinner hosted by the Hertfordshire Branch of the English Speaking Union.

The event will be held at Porters Park Golf Club, Shenley Hill, Radlett, on Tuesday, November 6, from 7pm.

This might be a lot more interesting if they included a debate with Norman Finkelstein .............. bu then its in Radlett

I have this odd quirk of trying not to pay for the privilege of hearing someone else's opinion on things. He could quite easily post his take on politics right here for free (less what i pay for broadband).

But then, it looks like dinner is thrown in, so it's not all bad.

It would be interesting to know where all those 30 quids are going.

I understand that Watford friends of Salfeet has a much more interesting speaker - none other than illustrious Israeli academic and author Ilan Pappe and it's only a fiver to hear him and there are concessionary rates available.December 12th, put it in your diary. Seeing as he's a private individual couldnt care less where the money is going, its a bit of an irrelevance.

Would say however Pappe sounds a far more interesting proposition
