I went to Westfield School after which I trained for 5 years to become a hairdresser. After realising I was not making the money I wanted, I took an office based job at the Blood Products Laboratory in Elstree. I wanted to move into IT and managed to secure a job at Computacenter in Watford where I worked as a buyer for 4 years. It was there I met my future husband Craig. I then moved to Dr Solomon’s an Anti virus company and became involved with sales. Whilst there I married and later had my first child, After 4 years the company was taken over so I took voluntary redundancy because I wanted to work nearer to home as I now had a young child. I joined an IT reseller Priority Data in Hemel Hempstead that were part of a large European corporate, Unit4 Agresso. I then had my second child and whilst on maternity leave I was promoted to UK Manager.
After managing the UK for several years I realised that the company wasn’t fulfilling it’s potential in the UK as this was not their area of focus, so I offered to buy out their UK business. This is how my company Armour IT Solutions was born. To start my own Business has been the best decision I have made, it has allowed me more time to be a working mum & at the same time a successful businesswoman.
