Fullerians rugby club secretary tries new project

Businessman Clive Mulligan has joined leading business development consultancy The Alchemy Network and is aiming to work closely with local firms to accelerate the growth of their businesses and boost their profits.

Mulligan, from Croxley Green, has a background in finance and leasing and specialised in industrial and business-to-business sales. He recently left Siemens Financial Services where he worked for a decade, generating new business and heading up two of the specialist financing divisions.

Now he is heading in a new direction as a Marketing & Business Development Consultant and has established his practice, Simply Consulting and has recently finished his accreditation training with the Alchemy Network.

The Alchemy training process harnesses its consultants’ business skills and experience to work with companies to increase client’s sales and profits by working with business owners to identify low cost high impact improvements that can show real results in a short time scale.

Mulligan, who has also worked for Natwest, GKN and Schroder Leasing, said: “I wanted to use the skills I had developed and used successfully in the corporate sector in my own business.

`’I’ve built up great a number of customer relationships, have a very strong sales record and really enjoy working with energetic businesses so, once I’d made up my mind on my future direction I wanted to get going and channel my energies into a new venture.”

Outside of work he is an active member of Fullerians rugby club serving as secretary for many years.

He was one of the founders of the club’s mini section and has been involved in coaching and development of youth players for the past 15 years.

In the coming season he will be using his business skills in heading up the club’s Seal of Approval project team ,which is a recognised award for the quality and care clubs offered to their players.

The Alchemy Network, established by David Abingdon in December 2007 after he sold his multi-million pound company Quantum, has already seen more than 70 consultants trained for success for companies around the globe, including the US, Australia, Ireland, Switzerland, Germany, France and Nigeria, with many other countries, including Canada and New Zealand, about to come on-stream.
