Brains the recipe for success at 3 Greens restaurant

Brains were put to the test when a local business held a quiz and charity raffle, with the winning team choosing which cause the propceeds went to.

It was a great evening at 3 Greens Restaurant, Elstree, and the winning team were impressive - scoring 113 out of a possible 130 - collecting the prize of £215.

The charity raffle was again well supported, raising £190, with the winning team deciding the money should go to The Motor Neurone Disease Association, who funds research into the disease as well as helping provide care for sufferers.

Food was laid on for all in attendance, with cottage pie or chilli con carne going down a treat.

The restaurant osituated on the apron of Elstree Aerodrome has been encouraged to increase the frequency of the quiz evenings and the next is pencilled in for May 22. Tickets cost £15 each - £5 of which will go into the prize fund and winner takes all.

A £5 per person deposit secures a place and there are six places to a table - eight tables in all.

Singletons and couples are welcome as they can be slotted on tables to join others. In fact, the winning team owed much to a single diner who just fancied an inexpensive night out and joined a table who were one short.
